I would run a fused wire from the battery and tap into the rear tail light with a relay unit. The fused wire would hold your power and the wire from your tail light would activate your relay. The battery charge system is fused 30 amp the + is pin 4 the wire is black it is at 1:00 on you truck connection. The - is white it is at 7:00 on your connector it is pin 1. It is wired with a #8 wire capable of 30 amps so any thing below that will work.
