It allows any quality wide-range driver and horn to be used with the "jub" that does not require equalization. It will also operate with the ES5800 in a 3-way system using any combination of high section components normally used with the Klipschorn or La Scala.

These will be Klipsch inspired speakers rather than Klipsch clones. I currently own a pair of extremely nice Ambience Ribbon speakers which are significantly better than the Klipsch La Scala 2s I owned previously. WebThis will allow the horn to start taking over at exactly the frequency where the woofer has narrowed to match the directivity, giving a smooth transition in off-axis response. For example, assuming the horn used is Dayton's SEOS clone, it's about 12" wide and matches a 12" woofer. That will allow for a crossover frequency of around 1400Hz or so ...

I recommend the CT-120 tweeters, CW1228 woofers, and the Atlas PD-5VH or A55G/2 midrange drivers. Don't forget to grab a pair of driver-to-horn gaskets! Crites even has the grille cloth if you are going that route.
