WebJun 22, 2024 · I think the reason that good horns are so good is because of the enhanced coupling of the driver (the thing that moves) to the air mass in front of it. A metal dome tweeter sitting on a mount on the front of a speaker is kind of a normal tweeter. To many people, like me, metal dome tweeters sound pretty bad.
