The clouds arguably look very similar to Enhanced Skyscapes by BiologicalNanobot for X-Plane 11 (though with more definition). It also seems that a new default aircraft has been teased, the Alia-250c by BETA.

So the EA improvements were focused on dusk/dawn/night atmosphere, which looks definitely better. Regarding the clouds, I now will try letting AS control the VolumetricClouds settings and see how the clouds horizon. Gerard.
